I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of your letter of 17 March 185- referring to the letter of 19th February from Secretary Su Hage, Guy, acquainting you with reference to the Election that the Governor, through the Puisne Commissioner of the Treasury, have approved of the payment to me of Salary and gratuity on dismissal in name of my Clerk in the Inspectorate at Hongkong.

I beg very respectfully to submit, through Sardar Sir George Grey, to the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury, that this payment be approved.
